After updating networkmanager, my wireless connection is very sketchy. Does work but will drop out quickly, sometimes reconnects for varied ammount of time, other times refuses to. After failing to to connect at all for over an hour (tried rebooting laptop and router during this time) rolled back to previous version, rebooted and it connected straight away, been online for about 3 1/2 hours without a problem. Additional info: * package version - networkmanager - i686 - 0.8.9997-2 * config and/or log files etc. Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 01) 2.6.39-ARCH kernel Let me know if you want any more info. rmmod b43
modprobe b43
Granted the b43 has the occasional troubles but as Ionut pointed out it usually sorts it self out after reloading. I've not seen unreliability like that before upgrading, or since downgrading.
That said there doesnt seem to be anyone else mentioning the problem anywhere so I could be wrong (unless they cant get online to report it? :D ) maybe my laptop just decided to be uncooperative and timed it around an upgrade to mess with me.

You're card is supposedly supported with the wl driver (archwiki:https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Broadcom_wireless#broadcom-wl)
Give it a try, fixed it for me!
Thanks for the suggestion Samuel but despite the wiki saying it should, the wl driver doesnt wanna play with my card - BCM4311 [14e4:4311]
To update the report, I have since experienced temperamental network access with the old version as well, so appologies, it would appear that the problem is not with networkmanager after all.
Im sure something is causing inteferance, as (despite its reputation) I rarely had a problem with it prior to my last bunch of updates. I've upgraded back to 0.8.9997-2 and applied all other available package updates, we'll see how it goes.
