Description:
Package alsa-utils patches /usr/sbin/alsaconf to add Arch Linux support [0]:

+elif test -f /etc/arch-release && grep -q "Arch" /etc/arch-release; then
+ distribution="arch"

But nowadays /etc/arch-release is empty [1].

This is _very_ minor as we actually do nothing with this 'distribution' parameter but could be in future uses.

[1] http://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/tree/filesystem/trunk/PKGBUILD

Additional info:
* package version(s)
alsa-utils 1.0.24.2-1
filesystem 2011.04-1

A simple "if file exist" test looks OK:
+elif test -f /etc/arch-release; then
+ distribution="arch"
