DetailsBridges are supposed to be created with netcfg. /etc/conf.d/bridges is not supported anymore can therefore be removed from the bridge-utils package.

Additional comments about closing: This should still work using the legacy network configuration in initscripts. It can be removed from bridge-utils when netcfg gains support for it.

It should be deprecated though:
Firstly, we should check that a proper deprecation warning is printed if this functionality is used.
Secondly, if 1) bridgesupport in netcfg is satisfactory, and 2) removing the file from the package does not change any existing installations (due to being in the backup array), then we could remove the file from the package I guess.
"Although the actual problem seems to be that the bridge isn't even created anymore at boot"
