Details

Description:
Start VirtualBox accompanied with "warning: `VirtualBox' uses 32-bit capabilities (legacy support in use)" message in dmesg.
Windows XP guest don't reboot only hard reset. Shutdown work fine.
I have tried rebuild VirtualBox modules with 'rc.d sesup vboxdrv' command but it not helped.

* config and/or log files etc.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start VirtualBox from apps menu
2. dmesg command in terminal.

it looks like the your user has insufficient right on at least some files of the vm.

doesn't matter that. some files inside ~/.VirtualBox or where the location is for you cannot be accessed

Now error dos not occur but warning message appeared in dmesg.

I read that topic, but there is no answer. What exactly do you want me to see in that topic?
Message appear after start /usr/bin/VirtualBox with clean install VB (empty config dir in home) and without any VM.
I don't run 32-bit apps (see ps aux - http://pastebin.com/9P0RcK0F).

Searching with Google on the error you get, gives some results of other Distro's giving the error. It's harmless. It comes from libpcap.

I'm not sure that it's harmless because I have some trouble with Windows guest. All the more so, that before this there was no.
However, thank you. I will look further if here it is not considered a bug.

is not related to that. maybe you changed configuration of the vm for APIC.

i do have a xp vm and works fine
