DetailsDescription:
Start VirtualBox accompanied with "warning: `VirtualBox' uses 32-bit capabilities (legacy support in use)" message in dmesg. Windows XP guest don't reboot only hard reset. Shutdown work fine. I have tried rebuild VirtualBox modules with 'rc.d sesup vboxdrv' command but it not helped. Additional info: * package version(s) community/virtualbox 4.1.0-2.1 core/kernel26 2.6.39.3-1 core/kernel26-headers 2.6.39.3-1 * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: 1. Start VirtualBox from apps menu 2. dmesg command in terminal. |
This task depends upon

it looks like the your user has insufficient right on at least some files of the vm.
disk lp wheel ftp mail http games network video audio optical floppy storage scanner power dbus usbmux camera vboxusers users
Message appear after start /usr/bin/VirtualBox with clean install VB (empty config dir in home) and without any VM.
I don't run 32-bit apps (see ps aux - http://pastebin.com/9P0RcK0F).
Searching with Google on the error you get, gives some results of other Distro's giving the error. It's harmless. It comes from libpcap.
However, thank you. I will look further if here it is not considered a bug.
i do have a xp vm and works fine
