DetailsDescription:
I reported this bug to KDE but it seems that it can be fixed updating several packages: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277789 The problem is that after activating nepomuk search, dbus-daemon starts consumming more and more memory, after several hours, it might end up wasting 1.6G of reserved memory!!! When Nepomuk is deactivated, it's reserved memory consumption stays around 2M. Additional info: * KDE 4.7 * virtuoso 6.1.3-1 * Soprano 2.6.50git20110728-1 * Raptor 2.0.3-3 * Rasqal 1:0.9.26-1 * Redland 1:1.0.13-4 * Strigi 0.7.5-4 Steps to reproduce: Activate Nepomuk indexer. Wait and see how dbus-daemon footprint increases. |

Follow this steps pointed out by Alejandro Nova at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=277789 and wait until the Nepomuk Email feeder starts indexing.
Steps to reproduce.
1. Create again the Nepomuk database.
a) Disable the Nepomuk system.
b) rm -fr ~/.kde/share/apps/nepomuk/repository
c) Enable the Nepomuk system.
2. Strigi will index everything. dbus-daemon memory usage will be low (not more
than ~10 MB).
3. Type akonadiconsole, restart the Akonadi Nepomuk E-Mail Feeder resource.
4. Let akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder work. If you have a nicely sized inbox,
you'll see dbus-daemon memory usage skyrocket to the stars (361 MB here, and
counting) This will only happen once, though, as akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder
doesn't reindex already indexed mails.
