DetailsDescription:
It's been a while since the adobe square flash plugin from adobe for x86-64 has been working, and several distros have adopted it natively on their x86-64 repos. I see no reason why arch still uses the x86-32 flash plugin from multilib, requiring a bunch of lib32 packages to work... Any ways, archlinux.fr offers a binary package, and aur offers the so called pre-release as well. At this point given its usage, I'd say there's little risk on migrating the flashplugin package for x86-64 from multilib to extra, using the native square x86-64 binary from adobe... Any ways, I filed this as a feature request, since there are alternatives (I'm using archlinux.fr currently), but still it feels unconfortable having to look for alternatives instead of the official repos... Thanks, Javier. |
