Stopping iptables fails because /var/lib/iptables/empty-security.rules does not exist. The other files in /var/lib/iptables are shipped in the iptables package, so I assume that one should be, too. The list of necessary files is farmed from /proc/net/ip_tables_names (lines 38-41 of /etc/rc.d/iptables). I've tested this on i686; I don't have my x86_64 machine handy to corroborate, but I can only assume it affects that architecture as well. Additional info: iptables 1.4.12-1 Steps to reproduce: $ sudo /etc/rc.d/iptables stop |
