DetailsDescription:
I've an openvpn network, with every network daemon that I need, like ssh, behind of it. (For example, I put "ListenAddress 10.8.0.X" in sshd_config). The problem comes if I put everything to be started at boot, because the rc.d openvpn daemon ends before openvpn gets an IP, so sshd cannot listen on the OpenVPN network and dies. I've solved this by putting sleep 30 in the sshd daemon file, but I don't like this solution. What can I do? Thanks. |

And instead of a mere sleep, I'd use something like: for i in `seq 1 10`; do sleep 3; ip addr | grep -q 10.8.0 && break; done;
Of course, that's also a hack but I can't think of anything cleaner; maybe somebody familiar with openvpn will know.
