Description: Logrotate doesn't like the Exim log directory
permissions. Should be owned by exim and not be group
writable.
drwxr-x--- 2 exim exim 4096 Jul 22 09:40 /var/log/exim Additional info: * exim 4.76-4 * logrotate output: error: skipping "/var/log/exim/mainlog" because parent directory has insecure permissions (It's world writable or writable by group which is not "root") Set "su" directive in config file to tell logrotate which user/group should be used for rotation. error: skipping "/var/log/exim/paniclog" because parent directory has insecure permissions (It's world writable or writable by group which is not "root") Set "su" directive in config file to tell logrotate which user/group should be used for rotation. seems that you've changed permissions by hand on /var/log/exim
right permissions should be:
drwxrwx--- 2 root exim 352 jul 29 12:08 /var/log/exim
and the files inside:
-rw-r----- 1 exim exim 5440 jul 29 11:13 mainlog
-rw-r----- 1 exim exim 1040 jul 29 11:13 paniclog
