DetailsDescription:
Gnome shell fails to load during login. The shell gets stuck with only the wallpaper shown. I have to ctrl+alt+del to logout. I had reported this bug upstream which they had mentioned its probably a packaging error. Additional info: * package version(s) gnome-shell: 3.0.2 js: 1.8.5-2 * config and/or log files etc. 1) Attached the ~/.xsession-errors 2) During pacman upgrade I get these messages: [2011-07-21 06:54] ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0 is empty, not checked. [2011-07-21 06:54] ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0 is empty, not checked. [2011-07-21 06:54] ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so is empty, not checked. |
This task depends upon
xsession-errors
$ du -h /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0
3.3M /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0
Maybe try reinstalling the 'js' package (after deleting /var/cache/pacman/pkg/js-1.8.5-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz)?
just reinstall js with pacman -Sf js
Thanks...
# du -h /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0
3.3M /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0
Gnome shell loaded properly. Thanks guys, sorry for the trouble :)
