1) Attached the ~/.xsession-errors

[2011-07-21 06:54] ldconfig: File /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0 is empty, not checked.

Something appears to be wrong on your machine; /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0 certainly isn't empty:

$ du -h /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0
3.3M /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0

Maybe try reinstalling the 'js' package (after deleting /var/cache/pacman/pkg/js-1.8.5-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz)?

is not a packaging error. is a problem only on your system. Maybe you had a power failure after installing the package, maybe a filesystem corruption.

just reinstall js with pacman -Sf js

I did try a reinstall by deleting the cache package. I'll try it again and let you guys know.

Thanks...

I installed the js package from another mirror this time and it worked.

# du -h /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0
3.3M /usr/lib/libmozjs185.so.1.0.0

Gnome shell loaded properly. Thanks guys, sorry for the trouble :)
