DetailsDescription:
js is built without utf8 support, so mongodb shell gives such warning: "*** warning: spider monkey build without utf8 support. consider rebuilding with utf8 support". So mongo shell can't ever show document with non-ascii charecters. Reading such doc will produce "error:non ascii character detected". Additional info: mongodb 1.8.2-5 js 1.8.5-1 Steps to reproduce: Install mongodb and start it, start mongo shell (with 'mongo' command). You can write non-ascii document with any mongo driver, but can't read it. |
