I can't reproduce the issue (tested on i686).

When did this start happening? Also, do you have any AUR packages installed (pacman -Qm)?
Comment by Rob Jones (sensory) - Wednesday, 13 July 2011, 18:31 GMT
This has been happening since I installed Chromium about a week ago, starting with the inability to import bookmarks. I just noticed the bug I've been experiencing today, though.

My AUR packages: http://pastebin.com/Vs4g5HyU

I've also tried installing chromium-browser-bin from the AUR (chromium-browser-bin LATEST-29) and this bug occurs there also.

Which plugins are listed at about:plugins (this goes into the address bar in Chromium)?
Comment by Rob Jones (sensory) - Wednesday, 13 July 2011, 22:15 GMT
Nothing out of the ordinary. Here's the list:

Flash - Version: 10.3.181
Java - Version: 1.6.0.24 (Download Critical Security Update)
Chrome NaCl (Disabled)
DivX Browser Plug-In (Gecko Media Player 1.0.0)
QuickTime Plug-in 7.6.4
RealPlayer 9
Windows Media Player Plug-in
mplayerplug-in is now gecko-mediaplayer 1.0.0
Default Plug-in - Version: 1

Thanks for your help so far, it's very much appreciated.

If you disable all the plugins, does the issue persist?
Comment by Rob Jones (sensory) - Sunday, 17 July 2011, 23:20 GMT
It does, but I've found that I have the exact same problem with Firefox which leads me to believe this bug has nothing to do with Chromium. My apologies for wasting your time on this.

You could try running Chromium and/or Firefox under gdb; maybe you'll get some useful information that way. If you have the time, follow the second step described in https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/24870#comment79350 and upload a gdb backtrace here.

I have no problem leaving this bug open until you've solved the issue.

I just did a full upgrade and it seems to have fixed it. I wish I had seen your comment before doing the upgrade and I would followed your steps in case someone else was having the same problem later on.

Thanks again for your thorough help. :)
