DetailsDescription: After upgrading hdf5 to version 1.8.7-1, octave does not start because it cannot find an hdf5 library file. I have also tried with an octave 3.4.2 (slightly newer than the version in extra) package that I built and it also does not work.
Additional info: * octave 3.4.0-2, hdf5 1.8.7-1 Steps to reproduce: Attempt to run octave. You will get the error message octave: error while loading shared libraries: libhdf5.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |
