sorry there is no patch suggested, i reverted it back to 2.9.9b because it's newer, seems that we have to wait for a new slmodem package or kernel needs to be patched. i cannot fix this issue sorry.

I figued there was nothing to do and the only option was to wait for smartlink to release a new package. It is keeping me from being able to build a computer for somebody. I'm tempted to try the 2.4 kernel and recompile until then.

or you can try to revert back to kernel 2.6.9

I have thought about recompiling my own kernel. It just depends on how often they release drivers. Is there a archive of previous kernel packages?
