Install archlinux, install dbus, avahi, samba, smbclient, xorg, xfce4, xfce4-goodies, gvfs, gvfs-smb, policykit. Configure them according to wiki. (and all the users to the needed groups in /etc/group) Try to browse a smb/windows shares network with thunar, it will display machines, double click on a machine, then double click on a share and you will get a message "Open smb://fileserver/share and other files of the type "(null)" and refuse to view them. Even if the share is password protected, this message is shown. You can't browse files. Seems that gvfs doesn't mount anything in .gvfs, but i can't think of other ways to work. Except to use nautilus, but is a bother with xfce4. Regards J. |
