hi, i cannot open pdf-files. the plugin crashes! sorry i got no more information!

I can't reproduce this on my system. You don't specify what happens exactly, what size the .PDF is and what type of PDF it is.

I'm not surprised if gimp would crash on opening a weird adobe acrobat 7 PDF file.

the pdfs were made by openoffice 1.1.4 they are all with graphics!
here's my shell output:
