Package `murmur' requires as dependence qt lib (and so xorg). Qt are not relly needed for running murmur as you can see here → http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/forums/forum/492606/topic/3321403
So qt should be in `optdepends' and not in `depends' entry.

This should be a bug report against the qt package, not murmur. As you can see, Arch does not split packages like that and thus we only have a qt package, not split parts of it.

If you run ldd on murmurd, you will see that it requires many parts of qt.

Is the dependency on qt a big problem for you?

Yes, I would not install xorg in a server.

Qt does not depend on the Xorg server.

If you don't want install 'qt' package, use the 'umurmur' project from AUR ( https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=38982 ).
This is 'a minimalist mumble server' and 'supports version 1.2.x Mumble clients'.

Closing this bug as qt 5.0 will finally be further splittable. We now already split out qtwebkit. This issue will resolve itself in due time. Nothing I can do, however.
