Consono had a patch for 915resolution to be able to use GM_45 chipsets. ( It would be nice if it was added. I attached a patch for the 915resolution.c file, it's not the same i think, although i don't know because i couldn't download the original.

Sry for the first empty description, it seems i pressed something wrong.

Can you submit this patch to grub2 upstream? Don't forget to mention to them that this is related to grub-extras 915resolution.

Yes, it is in won't fix state as I couldn't reach Consono to ask him to make his patch public.
