Description:

Recently, I have been having trouble connecting to my family's Linksys WPA-encrypted wireless router. I can connect to my neighbor's unencrypted network okay, but when I try to connect to our WPA-encrypted network, the network manager asks for the root password and then for the wireless password. I enter in the wireless password, the network manager tries to connect and authenticate, fails, and then asks for the wireless password again. This continues and the network manager is never able to connect.

Additional info:

Using Broadcom BCM4312 wireless card with b43 wireless driver.
Kernel version 2.6.39-ARCH
Network Manager with GNOME network manager applet.
XFCE Desktop Environment

This is probably a wireless driver issue. Try it just with iwconfig/dhcpcd/wpa_supllicant first to determine the problem.

How exactly do I do that? Sorry, I never learned how to connect to wireless from command-line. It seemed quite complicated to me.

check for logs in /var/log/daemon.log

i have 4311 and wpa2 works fine for me with b43

You have to set the network up manually usign nm-connection-editor.

isn't your problem related to  FS#24895  ?

Jun 26 18:40:46 localhost NetworkManager[837]: <info> Config: added 'key_mgmt' value 'NONE'
Looks like you don't run gnome-keyring? Also i can spot that networkmanager connects.

Jun 26 18:41:09 localhost nm-dispatcher.action: Script '/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d/connect.sh' exited with error status 127.
Dat script is faulty

After installing the latest updates of the kernel and dbus, my wireless seems to be working again. If my issues come up again, I'll make another post. Thanks for all your help guys, and keep up the good work.
