DetailsDescription:
No Close button on Firefox' About Window, Gnome. It's either a bug (missing something) in Firefox or some Gnome guys should really think about *this* usability feature again! Additional info: * package version(s) 5.0-1 I've seen this even before updatin to 5.0, so it's present at least in 4.0.1-1 too * config and/or log files etc. N/A Steps to reproduce: Install Firefox and click About Firefox in the Help menu. P.S.: I would have set this to "embarrassing" Priority level if such an option had existed. Regards! |

you can close that window with esc or alt+f4
"we cannot do anything."
I didn't know wheather there's anything you could do about it or not.
"you can close that window with esc or alt+f4"
From an usability point of view this is totally wrong.
Reporting to mozilla's gonna be a problem. Anyhow, I guess it is about time they start building firefox against gtk3 (instead of gtk2).
Reporting to gtk developers won't help because firefox is not their product; more than that they aren't responsable about gnome either (let aside the *attitude* they usually have towards normal people - as far as I'm told).
I suspect that building Firefox against gtk3 would solve this (and not only this) problem. Is there any plan/attempt to do that?
Regards!
Imo, that is a bug in firefox running gtk2 2.24 and they should add a close button like in nautilus or force it in a new window that inherits automatically the window decoration
i think only is a firefox problem related to gtk
Regardless, it does not seem to me like an arch bug but rather something that should be fixed upstream.
(btw, i can't stand those blackish themes.. not up for any funerals yet; installing another theme isn't a solution and anyway most of the Gnome's users go with the default just like I do)
Mozilla/Firefox' fault, Gnome's fault, Gtk's fault.. oO
As a user I don't know, really, who's to blame and to whom should I adress this problem. That's why I asked this here: maybe our devs would know what to do in this case.
Regards
