Description:

When you save a session it looks like it worked, but after restarting it there are no saved sessions.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
gedit-plugins 3.0.3

* config and/or log files etc.

When I ran it through a terminal and try to save the session I got the following error:

(gedit:23256): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_combo_box_set_entry_text_column: assertion `model == NULL || text_column < gtk_tree_model_get_n_columns (model)' failed
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/gedit/plugins/sessionsaver/dialogs.py", line 34, in on_session_added
self.row_inserted(self.on_get_path(piter), piter)
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/gi/types.py", line 44, in function
return info.invoke(*args)
TypeError: argument 1: Must be Gtk.TreePath, not tuple

Steps to reproduce:

1. install gedit-plugins
2. activate Session Saver through preferences
3. save a session
4. exit
5. start gedit again
6. find it doesn't have any session

but first let me bump gedit-plugins to 3.0.4
Comment by Pablo Olmos de Aguilera Corradini (pablox) - Sunday, 19 June 2011, 20:01 GMT
Ok, I'll do it asap, btw... why 3.0.4? Shouldn't be 3.0.5 the last version? (same as gedit).
Comment by Ionut Biru (wonder) - Sunday, 19 June 2011, 20:04 GMT
no, the last version is 3.0.4. Does it fix your problem? If not, report it upstream
Comment by Pablo Olmos de Aguilera Corradini (pablox) - Sunday, 19 June 2011, 20:19 GMT
Oh ok, and no, it doesn't fix the problem, but the error message and the behaviour change.

Now I get:

(gedit:10143): Gtk-WARNING **: Refusing to add non-unique action 'SessionSaver0' to action group 'SessionSaverPluginSessionActions'

And I can't even "save" a session. The box in the one you're supposed to write the name of the session doesn't "write" anything at all.

Thanks, I'll report it upstream and post the link here.
