/usr/lib/opera/8.0-20050225.5/opera: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory qt installs fine into /opt/qt/ opera installs fine into /usr/share/opera/ (defaults) the libs are in /opt/qt/lib/ but opera doesn't search there a handy quickfix is to put an symlink: ln -s /opt/qt/lib/libqt-mt.so.3 /usr/lib/opera/8.0-20050225.5/libqt-mt.so.3 |
This task depends upon
Since I tried to reproduce this on a box with KDE already present, I couldn't reproduce the bug.
pacman -S opera
directly after that i tried to run it
besides:
[spika@Archmage profile.d]$ printenv | grep QT
QT_XFT=true
QTDIR=/opt/qt
[spika@Archmage profile.d]$
but opera doesnt search in that directory
also another sidenote...
opera seems to be very unstable for me .. but i couldnt figure out why yet... he simply dies from time to time (hitting links on webpages.. bbs or flyspray .archlinux.org eg. .. but not always on the same links)
