Description:
After updating zsnes from release candidate 7 to 8 it changed the dependency to libao and the sound is now not fluent anymore.

Additional info:
I tried different sound architectures and sample rates but the sound was still messed up.
Also I had to remove zsnesl.cfg after the upgrade because zsnes didn't start and gave a segfault.Since this update there are also many segfaults [see "Steps to reproduce"]

Steps to reproduce:
1) Install zsnes.
2.a) Play a game with sound
2.b) Change some settings see what happens
2.c) Change the sample rate while playing a game and watch it segfault
