kernel26-2.6.39-1 fails to boot on my ASUS P8H67-M LE using EFI. Immediately after GRUB2 menu selection, the system reboots. Additional info: * package version: kernel26-2.6.39-1 Steps to reproduce: Install the package on a similar system Try booting |

It seems that a patch went into stable kernel sources without enough testing.
A workaround the non-boot issue is to use the 'noefi' option on the kernel command line, although this results in the EFI runtime being unavailable.
Why the kernel is built with an "old" and prerelease version of gcc ?
