/boot is not automatically mounted before installing kernel updates.

The new kernel and initrd will be in the wrong place, the new drivers won't work with the old kernel.

This affects users of the kernel26 package.

In order to reproduce:

1. setup Arch Linux with a separate /boot partition (not automatically mounted)
2. install a kernel update
3. reboot
4. no kernel modules will be loaded other than what is in initrd

Reason for closing:  Won't fix
Additional comments about closing:  If you can't configure your fstab correctly, that's your problem.

That's not a bug but a rather weird "feature" request. Mounting /boot is solely your responsibility, if it's not mounted one _should_ assume that thats for a reason.
