Description:

LibreOffice v3.4.0-2: The horizontal slider in Calc will not move, or it moves erratically a couple of times and stops. The left and right arrows (< >) are only partially visible, i.e. the lower parts. The vertical slider works normally. Navigating the spreadsheet can still be done (slowly) via the keyboard arrows.

Additional info:

I have reinstalled four times, after trying to clean out (pacman -Rnsu) previous traces of OpenOffice/LibreOffice, and manually from these locations:

/etc/
/var/abs/extra/*
/home/*/.config/*
/var/cache/pacman/pkg/*

The problem remains, and whether I open a new or old document.

My system:
Intel Core i7
ATI RV770 [Radeon HD 4850]
6 Gib RAM

* package version(s)
LibreOffice v3.4.0-2

* config and/or log files etc.
None.

Steps to reproduce:
Open LibreOffice Calc and try moving the horizontal slider.
This task depends upon

Hm. Seems to work here. Just a wild guess: What desktop are you running? Can you try something complete different (qt/gtk/*box)? Maybe it's theme related.

Calc horizontal slider is stuck here.

x86_64
libreoffice 3.4.0-2
nvidia 270.41.19-1.1
kde 4.6.3
qt 4.7.3-2

Tried different kde theme, same problem.

Version 3.3.2 was ok.

A user suggested on the forum to change from oxygen theme to qtcurve [1]. This does not fix the problem for me.

It's KDE related. Starting it with OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome fixes it

You should report it upstream though that it gets fixed. If this solves it for everybody we can close this one here for now.

Work for me if started with

# OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome libreoffice

This should be reported upstream.

A workaround is known now. KDE users should report it upstream. I won't do this for you. If you don't report it it won't get fixed automatically. Closing this one.
