DetailsKDE support in Quassel itself is optional, but in the PKGBUILD, it is made mandatory.
Not everyone who uses Quassel runs a KDE desktop, so I think it'd make sense to split the package up so that those users don't have to install uncessary KDE packages on their system just to use it. And those that *do* run KDE can instead opt to install the KDE-enabled one for better desktop integration. |
