Details
Description: Initscripts now optionally depend on net-tools.
However, without /bin/hostname installed (provided by
net-tools), initscripts cannot set a hostname during
sysinit. Since this is a serious issue, I believe that

Additional info: * package version(s): initscripts 2011.06.1-1 Steps to reproduce: Upgrade to initscripts 2011.06.1-1 from [testing] and remove net-tools. Reboot and notice a [FAIL] indication at "Setting Hostname" |

Thanks for the report. This was already pointed out on the
mailinglist, and a new version will be pushed soon where this is
fixed (we need to move hostname to coreutils before making
net-tools optdepned).
