AFAIK since last udev update /dev/cdrom is deprecated.
abcde's standard path for $CDROM is /dev/cdrom. So I request
to either patch the default entry in abcde's source or in
/etc/abcde.conf to use /dev/sr0 to match the current
environment.
Also I kindly ask someone more knowledgeable to report upstream that, obviously, these things are changing. Additional info: * abcde-2.4.2-1 |

...err, after a couple of failed assigning attempts (darn bug interface and your myriad of names). :-P
So, still I'm not clear on where to ask? abcde or udev devs?
As a temporary measure, I will set CDROM=/dev/sr0 in /etc/abcde.conf in abcde 2.4.2-2.
