Description:

When installing arch linux on virtualbox under OS X, when I get to the 'configure system' step, if I say "yes" to the prompt which asks to attempt to load the network configuration for the installer, this fails and all of the configuration files from the next menu appear blank. However if I say "no" to this, the configuration files appear to be properly populated, and the install proceeds normally.

the idea is to use the menus from top to bottom. you did a configure on an nonexistent system.

how did you populate your network config in the first place?
please retry with a new testbuild from http://releng.archlinux.org/isos/
