DetailsThe autostart condition is mispelled in bluetooth-applet.desktop file. It should be 'if-session' instead of 'is-session'. This causes that the bluetooth applet is not run in a gnome-fallback session.
I already reported this bug to upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=651193 Please apply the attached patch to solve this problem. |

bluetooth-applet.desktop.patch
I think that it's not a huge modificaton. It's only a small fix. (Only one character! :) )
You could see the same (but working) conditions in these files:
/etc/xdg/autostart/gnome-sound-applet.desktop (from gnome-control-center package)
/etc/xdg/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop (from polkit-gnome package)
Here is the processing code from gnome-session:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-session/tree/gnome-session/gsm-autostart-app.c#n180
And it was already fixed in gnome-control-center:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-control-center/commit/panels/sound/data/gnome-sound-applet.desktop.in?id=8936c853c21fe840a407f71b85f52ea42e2ce84b
So I really don't know why we should wait for upstream review to fix this misspelling.
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-bluetooth/commit/?h=gnome-3-0&id=2e88e0f56939b86355309405df1860fcf40459a5
So if you have time, please apply them. Anyway, I thank you very much your work on maintaining GNOME packages.
