Description:

The PKGBUILD for inkscape passes --with-python to configure, but it doesn't actually build with python because the configure script calls python -c ... to discover include and lib flags hwen it needs python2 -c.

Additional Info:

The simple fix is to add the following (consistent with the style of other python2 customizations in the PKGBUILD) before invoking configure:
sed -i 's|python -c|python2 -c|g' configure
I tried to attach a patch but all I got was a JavaScript error when pressing the Attach a file link.

Steps to reproduce:

You can verify the issue by building the package and looking at the configure output and config.log file. You will find the configure output says:
Internal Python: no
Internal Perl: yes

Here's the patch (I had to allow googleapis.com to run JavaScript to do so).

Thanks. I'll fix this right away.

Hum... Vanilla inkscape fails to build with gcc-4.6, so I'll need a bit more time.

I have a fix for that too. I just wasn't sure if it was peculiar to my build environment. See the attached patch.
