DetailsDescription:
When starting the system in runlevel 3 or 5 the system hangs (I have to hard shutdown) shortly after starting the NetworkManager daemon. This only occurs when DBus is running. I have tested in runlevel one and this bug definitely only occurs when NetworkManager is started with DBus already running. Additional info: Latest packages as of the 22nd of May 2011. I'm not sure which log files I should post, I'll post any asked of me ASAP. Steps to reproduce: Turn on system with DBUS before NetworkManager in daemons array. |

care to paste DAEMONS?
DAEMONS=(hwclock hal syslog-ng @networkmanager @hddtemp @verynice @sensors @coretemp @it87 acpi-cpufreq network netfs crond vboxdrv gdm)
Are you sure about the dhcpcd being started before NetworkManager? Everything above
"May 22 17:17:00 localhost init: Switching to runlevel: 6"
is from the previous boot...
Very much off-topic:
@maxexcloo: don't use hwclock together with ntpd, they'll step on each other's toes ;-) If you have a network connection, you want to use ntpd, and disable hwclock, as the result will be more accurate.
Not sure what changed.
