DetailsArch developers keep adding weird dependencies to the packages.
First it was Xfree as a dependency to samba, then openldap to samba too (not even openldap-client, but server too), with the 1.2 release of amarok now you require to install a full blown database (mysql) while it also uses sqllite. Please, guys, keep dependencies sane. Please remove mysql from amarok's dependencies. Arch is really fast, and adding unneeded dependencies wastes hard disk space, and linking to non-standard features (like needing openldap with samba) makes the code bigger. Thanks |

when mysql-support becomes modular, support will be available in amarok-mysql
