DetailsI did a fresh -current install today. I installed gnome, some gnome-apps and openoffice. But when I tried to start it it said something like:
can't initialize drm (operation not permitted) Reverting to (slow) software rendering I found this a very strange message, since as far as I know, Openoffice is slowest, modern GUI app in existance and definitely isn't backed by OpenGL. But when I configured drm properly (change VESA to i810 in xorg.conf), it still wouldn't start. I don't get ANY message whatsoever anymore. |
