Details

After upgrading from zenity 2 to zenity 3.0.0-2, with a fully up-to-date system, notifications from zenity do not appear any longer.

This command:

$ zenity --notification --text=Message

used to display a notification in Fluxbox's tray.

After the upgrade, the following error message is displayed:

$ zenity --notification --text=Message
** (zenity:3074): WARNING **: Error showing notification: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.Notifications was not provided by any .service files

And no notification is displayed.

This can be readily reproduced with Fluxbox.
