rm -f $PIDFILE 2>/dev/null

if sshd is run by a non-privileged user it froze because rm is waiting for user action

I don't believe rc.d scripts are suitable for unprivileged user in the first place: many functions are bound to fail, such as add_daemon, rm_daemon, etc.
