First, I don't think it is only Terminal's bug. It is this, when I upgrade after gnome3, once I run in Xfce4,open an Terminal,and run python,but there is no message"Python 3.2 (r32:88445, Apr 15 2011, 11:09:05) [GCC 4.5.2 20110127 (prerelease)] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. " I wait for a moment,type an space,all the message appear. I try sometimes, it is same. I think it is a bug. and more,so many times i type something, some chars not on screen! when i start gvim in Terminal,so many message: (gvim:17288): Gtk-WARNING **: Invalid input string output. it is so many,880 lines, every time (gvim:xxxx) not same, just last i run 17319 17320 output. when use konsole,and xterm,the term not eat chars,but gnome-terminal and Terminal do. but every term run gvim,so many Invalid input string. maybe other things wrong, but i don't notice. dmesg has a fail about mtrr. At least, I think I should get more info about this, but I can not do anything check vte, if it is really bugs in vte.
