Description:
Occasionally, upon shutdown of a GTK application (most noted in mousepad) it will hang for a few seconds in output this error:-
(mousepad:8392): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_main_quit: assertion `main_loops != NULL' failed
Seems to happen more often when using the root account *BUT* it still happens as a normal user IIRC.

Additional info:
* package version(s)
gtk3 3.0.9-1
mousepad 0.2.16-2

Steps to reproduce:
- Open mousepad as root.
- Edit a file.
- Save the file.
- Attempt to close window.
- It hangs.
I can not reproduce this 100%, it seems somewhat random (except for being more frequent with root).

Reason for closing:  Won't fix
Additional comments about closing:  mousepad isn't actively developed anymore right now and has been removed from the repos.

I can confirm this behavior. It seems that with Mousepad it might have to do with having a large amount of text in the buffer, as it seems to happen more when I either open a large file or paste a large amount of text in the window. However, Mousepad is the only application this happens in for me.

this cannot be gtk3 since mousepad is a gtk2 application. you should report that on their bugtracker.

maybe is related to latest gtk2 2.24 changes but definitely not gtk3

I can't reproduce it. Tome this seems not mousepad specific, maybe more gtk2 generic. What gtk2 theme do you use? Maybe change to a common one.

btw: mousepad is in an awful state. It's the last app depending on xfprint that should be removed from the repos soon. I suggest to try a different editor.

"For me, removing the Clipman plugin solved the issue for mousepad & xfce."

Uninstalling xfce4-clipman-plugin solved the issue for me as well.
