Details

Description:
Kde fails to start normally if the three following dependencies are not installed at runtime:
libxcomposite (with the visible effect: windows decoration absent)
libxinerama (with the visible effect: ksplash not showing up)
xorg-xsetroot (needed by startkde)

Additional info:

4.6.2-2
* config and/or log files etc.


Steps to reproduce:
just install xorg and kdebase-workspace on a base archlinux install.
see graphical symptoms. check messages in #/.xsession-errors.

Hi, I already added libxcomposite and xorg-xsetroot to kdebase-workspace 4.6.3-1, but I'm not sure about libxinerama...the package builds fine without it

Hi, kdebase-workspace certainly builds fine without libxinerama, however if you run it without, the splash screen loaded afther kdm login (ksplash) is not displayed (and there are error messages in ~./xsession-errors).
