I deleted the file and continued as normal, but just wanted to mention it for reference.

You would have been better figuring out what package put that file there...

If another package (not lv2core) put that there, then I'm assuming it most likely came from the AUR, or some non-Arch repo.

I'll check it out when I get to my box.

Please do. If that's the case, the bug should be filed against the package in AUR.

  • Field changed: Architecture (x86_64 → All)
Ahh crap. This is due to the latest update having replaced the symlinks created by a post-install tool with in-package ones [1]. I was going to just simply announce this in the forums to say it is OK to ignore/force, but it looks like I forgot. Sorry for the confusion.

So this error message is benign? Can this bug report be closed?
Comment by Ray Rashif (schivmeister) - Friday, 06 May 2011, 20:03 GMT
I'll test an update that removes the file pre-install, then close this. If that does not work, I'll just do a forum announcement.

edit: I forgot - pacman tests for conflicts before scriptlets are run. So announced at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=118474.
