DetailsDescription:
I'm unable to mount password protected samba shares either with smb4k or from the command line, I've googled around, and the error is related to mount.cifs, which doesn't allow to pass the -o password option, with mount.smbfs it works, but I can't find the package containing this file. Earlier everything worked, since some update, the error is the following: mounting share readonly unable to mount share readonly in dmesg cifs error code= -13 Additional info: * package version(s) * config and/or log files etc. samba 3.5.8-2 cifs-utils 4.9-2 kernel26 2.6.38.3 Any help appreciated Steps to reproduce: mount //share /mountpoint -t cifs -o user=sbdy -o password=sthg -o ip=xxx.yyy.xxx.yyy Any help appreciated. Which piece of software causes this bug? In short what did you update?

I don't know exactly, because I don't use samba every day, sometime the last 2 or 1 month regular updates broke it.
