To be able to do this grep in rc.d/cpufreq a modprobe acpi_cpufreq may first be neccessary, at least on my system with 2.6.38.3-1. grep -qw "$governor" /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_available_governors |
