I installed qlandkartegt from AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=21102) and is working as it should.

Still the same behaviour? Cannot replicate this unfortunatelly, as I have no .tdb map file.

Well, I don't know because I'm still using svn version. In any case I think the problem was caused by a missing dependency or, more probably, the need to link to an updated lib.

Ok, closing for now. As it seems that svn version is working, should be fixed in the next stable version for sure. Current behaviour cannot be properly checked and no other users voted/commented on this one, looks like non-critical issue.
Using the original package vs. self compiled package from ABS instead of the svn version might be useful next time. This way we could see if just a rebuild is needed.

It still doesn't work (version 1.2.2-1). SVN version from AUR works fine for me too. I tracked it from version 1.1 (my switch to Arch) and it never worked.

Version 1.3.1 out. Is it working fine now?
Comment by Petr Pavlicek (Littlepaul476) - Friday, 06 January 2012, 22:41 GMT
No, normal package 1.3.1 doesn't work. But the same SVN version from AUR works normal. Weird is, that when i try to compile official 1.3.1 package myself, it doesn't work too. I don't know what difference is between SVN code and release code of qlandkartegt.
I saw today, that new version 1.3.2 is out. There is written "Fix: Compiler optimization -O3 makes Garmin maps crash." in changelog. Maybe it will solve this bug?

v1.3.2 packaged. Any change?

Finally v1.3.2 is working like a charm! No crash during startup and no crash after loading vector map.
