Details

Description: gnome-control-center and gdm have some optional dependencies that add functionality.

[gnome-control-center]
mesa-demos: provides glxinfo for graphics information.
apg (in community): adds password generation for user accounts.

packagekit is also called sometimes, but it doesn't seem to add anything notable.

xorg-xrdb: required for .Xresources file. (gdm will automatically use this if installed)

Steps to reproduce:
gnome-control-center: run from a terminal and read the output for System Info and User Accounts sections.
gdm: check .xsession-errors for xrdb references without xorg-xrdb installed.

added as optdepends mesa-demos and apg for g-c-c optdepends and xorg-xrdb to dependency for gdm

The nautilus-sendto, nautilus-open-terminal, and nautilus-actions packages could also be optdepends for nautilus, though those are more obvious.
