DetailsDescription:
Firefox uses Gimp for opening pdf files as default and Gimp can not open pdf files. Steps to reproduce: 1, click to download pdf 2, open pdf It is specific Archlinux issue. |
This task depends upon
application/pdf; mupdf %s; copiousoutput
in my .mailcap file. Starting Firefox with a freshly deleted ~/.mozilla directory, it presents mupdf as the default pdf viewer out of the box. Looks like it reads the .mailcap file. But then it still opens the file with gimp by default. This can of course be solved by e.g. selecting mupdf as the default pdf viewer in a file browser like pcmanfm (that's what I used for this purpose). But when I used the ff4 prereleases from heftig's repos it worked, I didn't have to do anything with pcmanfm, the .mailcap file was enough.
Should I open a new bug report for this or is it ok to put it in here?
