With Kernel version 2.6.38.2-1 hp g6-1060ee laptop is unusable.After udv events part during boot screen went blank and keyboard not responding Additional info: Laptop lspci details and dmesg details with kernel version 2.6.38.2-1 (only one time got dropped into login shell at that time dmesg details crapped and attached). * package version(s) This happens with both 32 bit and 64 bit kernel version. * config and/or log files etc. Steps to reproduce: upgrade the kernel from 2.6.37 to 2.6.38 and reboot. Note: I am using only the intel graphics card. This laptop is with dual graphics card(intel/ati). Please see the lspci details. |

with radeon.modeset=0 in the kernel line solves this issue. The solution I got it today after filing this bug report. I need to find a way to tell the kernel which graphics to use.
