Description:

A few days ago, when Kernel 2.6.38 and some other packages were installed, my mouse started to act weird. When the problem appears I have to click right before I can make a left click. Otherwise the click just doesn't "go through". Every other right click doesn't count. I checked that with the light bulb in the Gnome mouse settings dialog.

When I put the mouse over a tab of Chrome and pull the tab down in order to move it, a tab about 50 pixels on the left is grabbed instead but the mouse stays on the right. If I put the mouse over a scrollbar and want to scroll down, a tab is grabbed instead.

I'm running Gnome with Xmonad as Window Manager. The problem also occurs when I kill Xmonad, so I think it's a problem with the XServer.

Additional info:
* Gnome 2.32.1
* Xmonad 0.9.2-1.2
* xorg-server 1.10.0.902-1

Might be a duplicate of https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/22233. People there write that their problem reappeared a few days ago.

my mouse works fine, under XMonad without gnome. Since this problem is very vague + probably upstream. Look at xmonad's/xorg tracker.

Well, as I wrote, I doubt it's an Xmonad problem because the problem also occurs when Xmonad is not running... I'll notify xorg.

Seems to be resolved by the update to xorg-server 1.10.1-1.
