When you update wicd via pacman, you will get this error:

Steps to reproduce:

pacman -Sy wicd (with a previous version)

Fix:

Add these lines on the PKGBUILD at the end of package_wicd function

cd $pkgdir/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/wicd
find ./ -iname "*.pyo" -exec rm {} \;
