Details

gparted fails under the new gnome3 environment on start with
/usr/sbin/gpartedbin: /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by /usr/lib/libglibmm-2.4.so.1)

Installed versions:
testing/glibmm 2.28.0-2
extra/gparted 0.8.0-2

On a related note gparted-git doesn't compile with
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.5.2/../../../../lib/libglibmm-2.4.so: undefined reference to `std::__detail::_List_node_base::_M_unhook()@GLIBCXX_3.4.15'
so there seems to be a connection.

you should enable multilib-testing if you have multilib enabled and use gcc-multilib

you are absolutely right, adding multilib-testing solves both problems.
